Christos Barbas Quartet is a new project that balances between minimalism, jazz, classical music and improvisation, with clear influences from Middle Eastern rhythms and Greek melodies. Joined by Ramon Prats on drums, João Silva on Violin and Sasha Agranov on Violoncello, the quartet presents a series of new original compositions and songs created in the last years. All members of the group are classically trained, something that can be heard in the delicate and precise interaction between them, as well as formidable improvisers, giving a vibrant liveness to their every concert.
