The four musicians of the quartet are performing regularly in Europe as part of many other groups, indicating the creative forces behind the new generation of musicians in Greece. Their music is equally inspired by Greek & Middle Eastern Music, as well as european classical music, minimalism and the acoustic combination of traditional and classical instruments opens up spaces between antique and contemporary with a deeply lyrical and meditative sound.
Christos Barbas (Ney & Voice), Giorgos Papaioannou (Violin & Lavta), Nikos Papaioannou (Cello) & Pavlos Spyropoulos (Contrabass) can be heard in numerous groups as Neda, Magnanimus Trio, Ross Daly & Labyrinth Orchestra, Zohar Fresco Quartet and have recorded extensively in the wider field of contemporary modal music with companies as An Music, Felmay IT and ECM Records.
