Giorgos Papaioannou was born in Athens in 1982. He studied classical violin from an early age and later studied and influenced by Greek ,Turkish and Mediterranean,Arabic and Indian musical tradition . Since the age of 15 he has been playing with numerous groups and artists of classical, rock, Greek folk & art music.He teaches modal music and improvisation in Labyrinth Workshop in Crete and giving seminars in many places of the world.He participates in discography with Neda band. Anamesis is his first personal work.
